Khaleel Gandhi

Khaleel Gandhi

Khaleel Gandhi began with the Spaulding School of Music in his early teen years learning piano but his role quickly grew in many ways.  Khaleel moved from a music student to a production wizard in many ways.  Working alongside Damian Spaulding directly, Khaleel helped spearhead Georgian Bay Arts (Produced by Rogers TV) and then Art Happens TV (Produced directly by the Spaulding School of Production).  Both shows had huge impact on the region in the areas of artist exposure and promotion.  Georgian Bay Arts and the subsequent Art Happens Features, directly expsed artists to an audience they never experience before, while also delving into the minds of each guest.  Both shows were met with resounding reviews.  Art Happens episodes can be found here:

Early Art Happens was edited by Brian Backland while later episodes were produced by Khaleel and team.

As a result of his exceptional performance, Khaleel was promoted to an Executive Directorship role of the Spaulding School of Production.  Through this role he led teams of video/audio production students and professionals to provide hands-on learning experiences and created a number of video production projects for rising stars such as Emily Effler, Danielle Sasseville, and Madison Mueller, all of whom have received both local and national attention.

Through his new career, Khaleel has actively pursued his love for film-based art, live theatre, and devised performance. Outside of his work with the Spaulding School, he helped start Quarter Century Theatre, a professional theatre company focused on bringing contemporary, site-specific and bold productions to the Town of Collingwood. With QCT, he actively produced and marketed over three shows, all of which received positive reception. He was also a significant member of Collingwood’s Kraft Hockeyville bid in 2017, where his video productions and marketing helped raise awareness within the community and helped land Collingwood a Top 10 finish.

Khaleel is also active within the creative side of theatre, and continues to pursue his love of both live, devised theatre and musical theatre. Stage Manager credits include Salt-Water Moon (QCT), The Megantic Outlaw (QCT) and Collected Stories for a Better World (QCT); for musicals, he has worked on Broadway classics such as The Wizard of Oz (Collingwood Collegiate) and Anything Goes (McMaster Musical Theatre).

Khaleel now attends McMaster University in Hamilton where he studies Film & Theatre and Multimedia. He continues to write creative scripts, work on productions, and consults with the Spaulding School.

We are very proud to be a part of his establishing journey and foresee nothing but great things to come in this young man’s life.  You will find examples of his work on respective student feature pages in this website.

Way to go Khaleel and keep up the extraordinary work!
