The Spaulding Method carries a completely different approach to vocal training, we like to consider ourselves more as voice coaches rather than traditional vocal teachers. In most modern music stylings a classically trained voice can often conflict with the direction a student may want to go in their style of music. All classical methods of teaching are implemented in the Spaulding Method however our method stems more from building on the strengths and weaknesses of each vocalist and aligning their vocal training to fall in line with their chosen vocal style. Every style of music: Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Folk, Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Classical and others fit easily with in the Spaulding Method of teaching and can be easily facilitated by our standardized approach. Stage performance and preparation is often also a strong component of Spaulding's vocal coaching technique and allows even established vocal students to reach that next illusive of stage presence and performance. General Note: At your first lesson please bring a note pad or binder, writing utensil, stack of CDs, MP3s and or sheet music of songs you may desire to learn, or at least a list of song titles you as a student aspire to play. Based on this information, your teacher will compile a custom curriculum and timeline to accomplish your goals. This approach yields an extremely fast rate of learning for each vocal student and almost guarantees their enjoyment of their learning process because each student plays an active role in creating their own learning curriculum.
