At The Spaulding School of Music we strongly believe that by giving a student a firm foundational knowledge of their instrument before focusing on the regurgitation of old artist compositions, they will experience a heightened ability to improvise, compose and enjoy their instrument for its original purpose: A tool for deep self expression. Through our unique "Applied Theory" approach, each student learns to play their instrument well, then share that skill with others through composition, collaborative expression, the writing of sheet music, stage performances, recording sessions and a whole lot more.

Our Background:
Over the last years, Damian Spaulding (Founder of The Spaulding School of Music) has developed a new highly accelerated teaching method where students learn to play any instrument play “by ear” and “by music” in a fraction of the time it would take when compared to any other teaching style. This new and revolutionary method is now known as the "Spaulding Method".

Through the Spaulding Method, students benefit from a curriculum that not only comprehensive, but also highly flexible and completely customized to fulfill their specific aspirations and dreams.
